Quick start
Get from signup to monitoring your first domain in under 5 minutes. This guide walks you through the essential steps to start using Httpeace.
Step 1: Create your account
- Go to Sign up.
- Create an account with your email or with Google.
- You'll be automatically redirected to create your first workspace.
Step 2: Set up your workspace
When you first sign in, you'll be prompted to create an workspace by giving it a name. Your workspace is where you'll manage domains, invite team members, and configure settings.
Note: You start on the Free plan with 1 domain included. You can upgrade anytime to unlock premium features and more domains. See our plans
Step 3: Add your first domain
Right after giving your workspace a name, you'll be able to add your first domain. You can add domains in a variety of formats:
- domain.com
- www.domain.com (will default to adding domain.com)
- https://domain.com (will default to adding domain.com)
- something.domain.com (will add this specific subdomain)
You can also skip this step and add your first domain directly from the dashboard later.
Step 4: Verify domain ownership
To ensure you own the domain, you need to verify ownership:
- Htpteace will generate a unique TXT record for your domain.
- Add the TXT record to your domain's DNS settings in your registrar's dashboard:
- Name:
_httpeace-verification - Value:
[your-verification-code] - Leave any other settings in their default values
- Name:
- Wait up to a few minutes for DNS propagation
- Confirm the verification.
Step 5: Run your first audit
Once verified, you will be forwarded to run your first domain audit. Simply confirm, wait for the audit to run, and you'll be presented with the results report.
What gets checked?
Httpeace runs comprehensive checks including:
- SSL Certificates — Get alerts before certificates expire or misconfigure.
- DNS Health — Detect missing or incorrect records (A, MX, TXT, and more).
- Security Headers — Verify HTTPS, HSTS, CSP, and other web security settings.
- Domain Reputation — Detect if your domain is flagged for malware, phishing, or security threats.
- Email Authentication — Validate SPF, DKIM, and DMARC to protect deliverability.
- Domain Expiry — Never lose a domain because of a missed renewal.
Understanding your report
The report will contain:
- A summary of statuses (ok, critical, warning and failed checks).
- A list of checks with detailed results and explanations.
- Failed checks will show recommendations for fixes.
This report can be acessed anytime in the "Reports" tab of your dashboard. At the top of the report details page, you will also find a button to download the report as PDF to share with team members and/or clients.
Setting up notification preferences
By default, Httpeace informs you per email whenever warnings and/or critical issues are identified in domain reports. If you want to change your notification preferences, visit Settings > Notification preferences. Also in this page, you can set up Slack notifications. If you wish to receive webhook notifications, visit Developers and create your first webhook.
Note: Slack and webhook alerts require Business or Scale plans.

Invite team members
Add teammates to your workspace so everyone stays informed about domain health.
Set up Slack and webhook alerts
Don't just rely on email notifications to receive alerts about your domains.
